This salt-of-the-earth eatery’s owners once ran a CD and DVD shop here, but with the advent of iTunes, they needed to find a way to stay in business. That’s when the wife had an idea: why not sell the food that she makes at home? The cuisine is vegetarian Punjabi: cricket ball-size samosas, spicy chaat, steaming paratha and veggie-stuffed flatbread are worth the jaunt to Jackson Heights. Save room, of course, for the offerings from the sweet side of the place, such as traditional jalebi, a deep-fried syrupy funnel cake.
