![]() : Craving something seaworthy, like maybe a lobster meat sandwich? If so, take your place in line, one that despite the weather slowly works its way to the open window. The Red Hook Lobster Pound DC truck, trimmed in a red as red as a boiled lobster, dispenses overstuffed lobster rolls, priced somewhat immodestly at $15 per order, $18 for a lobster meal of roll, chips and a soda---after all, those crustaceans are trucked in to DC several times a week from Maine. But more budget-saving goodies also make it on the short menu: shrimp roll with or without chips and soda; a Whoopie pie; and Maine Root soda and lemonade. The rolling lobster truck is the brainchild of Susan Povich (Maury’s daughter). |
