About the restaurant: Breakfast rules at Reveille Café, as it does at its sister establishment, J. Christopher's.

Food & Drinks: The former devotes attention to inventive pancakes; a real winner is the peanut butter banana pancake that Elvis would have adored. We like it, too. The kitchen is adept at cooking eggs exactly as you order them, and the quality of the eggs is high as well, with good flavor and deep yellow yolks. Patrons following specialized diets will be able to stay on course as some dishes meet the requirements of both Atkins and South Beach adherents. Smoked Gouda grits furnish a Southern alternative to potatoes, and may even accompany the house Benedict. Shrimp and grits --- here described as from "Nawlin's" although it's low country fisherman's fare --- and a Southwestern egg selection are among the alternatives.
