A tiny Left Bank bistro with a dozen marble tables tightly squeezed into a small, unpretentious room, Le Bistrot d’Henri is decorated with paintings of people dining on these very premises. The menu is read from a blackboard and the endearing staff delivers the simple, rustic dishes with grace and aplomb. Starters include foie gras terrine, entrecôte, bone marrow, and eggs scrambled with chanterelles. Continue with tripe à la Caen, a beautiful filet of salmon in béarnaise sauce, duck confit, and kidneys naturale.
