Richards' Southern Fried Restaurant Review

: Chef Todd Richards, who also helms White Oak Kitchen & Cocktails, has opened his Krog Street Market venture offering fried chicken and sides. Richards makes everything, even the bread for the fried chicken sandwich and, it goes without saying, the pimento cheese. Choose regular, hot or Richards' Hot, with which we suggest his pickled vegetable slaw as it capably tempers the heat. Options range from a drumstick and thigh with one side to half a chicken and two sides. For dessert there’s banana pudding and cobbler; we sampled the strawberry rhubarb, and the filling was tasty but the crust was too unyielding. Look for iced tea and Mexican coke (made with real sugar).
