: Set at the end of Bali Way, the restaurant is surrounded by views of the marina and its yachts. The main dining room is indoors with a lounge section offering happy hour at the bar, outdoor patio or communal table. But the romantic terrace with sunset vistas is where to sit. Chef Peter Coenen has taken over the kitchen. Enjoy seasonally inspired California cuisine with a strong seafood accent. Take a cue from the coastal setting and order the shellfish plateau with lobster, mussels, Mexican prawns, oysters and crab. Despite the marine theme, all will find something to please, like corn ravioli or a Prime dry-aged burger at lunch. We found satisfaction in the hamachi sashimi and charred Spanish octopus. SALT Restaurant & Bar is an ideal escape right in town, for a drink, appetizer or a full meal. Don't pass up this hidden gem in the Marina del Rey Hotel.
