Salvatore's Restaurant Review: Salvatore’s is a long-running Italian restaurant located on the ground floor of the Meridian tower. It caters to a serious, food-loving crowd that returns for the professional service and authentic cuisine. The menu represents many regions around the Italian boot. Dishes such as osso buco with risotto Milanese and breaded veal scaloppine with black truffle all contribute to proprietor/chef Raffaella Morelli’s success. We also like the black mussels in a garlicky tomato broth, the spinach ricotta ravioli, and the homemade meatball appetizer. Live music includes piano and guitar along with a harpist on Saturday night who plays on a treasured antique --- the very harp that Harpo Marx played on “I Love Lucy.” |
