Sant Ambroeus Restaurant Review:
The ambience at this New York branch of a famed Milanese pastry shop makes it feel as though it’s from a bygone era. The pastries are very good, but a bit pricey. The topnotch gelati in flavors like hazelnut, cappuccino, and the more elegant lemon sorbet with Prosecco is a good buy. Lunch, dinner and specialty coffee drinks, like the vodka and Grand Marnier-infused Beatrice, are also served. For meals, the house favorites include the spaghetti with sea urchin, king crab and lemon zest, and lamb shank braised in Barolo.
