This trattoria boasts a chef from Tuscany, Michele Dalla Valle, who honed his chops at Il Vino from Enrico Bernardo. Rustic décor displays wooden tables and a stone floor, semi-open kitchen and counter covered with Italian products, cheese and charcuterie. Topnotch ingredients and genuine Italian recipes delight loyal customers. For a starter, enjoy olive oil with Tuscan bread prepared on-site and tasteful ham from Pisa. The meal features highlights such as the crumbed and soft egg with braised chicory; the grilled sea bass filet with pumpkin and capers; and a risotto with pigeon offal, perfectly seasoned, with both tender and crunchy rice and the thigh and wing of the bird. Tiramisu for dessert is hearty and creamy. The wine list gives a nod to Italy with strong items like a Prosecco Treviso from Marsuret and a Bolgheri Pievi from Fabio Motta 2012.
