THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Scala Mia House of Garlic Restaurant Review:
Located on what is becoming Menlo Parks restaurant row, Scala Mia does a straightforward job, but breaks no new ground. Good starters include the stuffed and steamed artichoke and the mussels or clams sautéed in a white wine-lemon sauce. In the starring roles are pastas: linguine with clams or calamari, fettuccine primavera, tender gnocchi with pesto. We like the huge salads, fresh and dressed lightly. A good way to end your dinner is with the light lemon cheesecake or the luscious tiramisu.
