Scalini Restaurant Review:
Scalini buzzes at all times. It's crowded, noisy, fun and serves notable food, but it is definitely old-school not new-school, so if you're after something innovative or out of the ordinary, dine elsewhere. The staff are charming and work hard delivering dishes that are classics. Large portions of the likes of asparagus au gratin with hollandaise sauce, beef carpaccio, and stuffed courgette flowers; sea bass cooked with herbs and balsamic vinegar; veal escalope in creamy dolcelatte cheese sauce; and top seafood salads are the attractions here. We recommend the zabaglione or tiramisu for dessert. There’s a good Italian wine list and a private room too.
