THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Schiller's Liquor Bar Restaurant Review:

Keith McNally hews to a formula for success, and Schiller’s remains a classic of New York dining. It serves as a daytime outpost for writers who enjoy the restaurant’s European flair, ample sunlight and unfettered wireless access. The décor is all one would expect from the mind of McNally, from white tile floors to the pewter bar. At night it turns more lounge-like, with an amiable mix of hipsters, suits and cocktails. The food is well-executed, if a little beside the point, ranging from pork tacos and rotisserie chicken to steak frites served with béarnaise, butter or green peppercorn sauce. Wines are divided into three categories: cheap, decent and good, a clever conceit, even if the portions are meager. Of special note for early risers: the donuts here are some of the city’s best.
