: Simon Hospitality Group and Titan Brands teamed up to debut Standard & Pour, the last concept idea of the late “Rock n’ Roll Chef” Kerry Simon. Expansive windows provide sweeping views of the Vegas Valley. Also featured are an open kitchen, outdoor seating with a fire pit, hues of sea green and earth tones and some feminine touches such as floral wallpaper and fleur-de-lis-inspired tile. The menu is designed for sharing, changes seasonally and is divided into sections labeled “V” for vegetables, “F” for fish, “M” for meat, “C” for cocktails and “D” for dessert. During our visit we began with carrot risotto with black truffle, artichoke heart and aged pecorino; whole smoked romanesco with caper, red onion, golden raisin and port wine reduction; and tuna tartare --- big eye and amber jack with a spicy kick from pickled Fresno chili and wasabi radish sprouts. Proteins we enjoyed included rib-eye cap with a juniper-porcini rub and crispy chicken thighs with pearl onion, mustard jus and blistered tomato. Among the cocktails are some creative concoctions with thought-provoking names, like the Listen Linda made of Frida Kahlo Tequila, pink peppercorn, pineapple and lime; and Man Candy composed of Belvedere Peach Vodka, sweet heat syrup and moscato. Desserts are all crafted in-house; we recommend the wine & cheese sundae, a cheesecake blondie with Merlot ice cream and brandied cherry. Sunday brunch served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. highlights unique items such as Fat Elvis French Toast with banana, peanut butter and bacon.
