THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Star at Playhouse Square Restaurant Review

: Star is right inside the Playhouse Square complex, the second largest performing arts center in the country after New York City's Lincoln Center. So if you're seeing a show at one of the seven theaters, make a reservation at Star. The waitstaff---some of them performers or aspiring stars themselves---frequently take the stage to belt out Broadway favorites. The menu features a small, thoughtful and ever-changing selection of appetizers, salads and creative entrées. Molten chèvre beef tenderloin; pan-seared sea scallops with a black currant vinaigrette; and beef short rib “osso bucco” served with smoked bacon and cheddar au gratin potatoes are all standouts. Servers seem to have their timing down to the second, often asking what show or performance you're about to see so they can plan accordingly.
