Even if you aren’t too hungry, you can’t resist Steak & Ale’s salad bar, which fills the entire length of one room, featuring stacks of well-chilled plates, crisp mixed greens, assorted cheeses, prepared salads and a variety of dressings. Once you’ve had your fill, or prepared a heaping side salad if you like, go for the Bourbon Street ten-ounce steak or the spicy nine-ounce nine-pepper filet in a peppery cream sauce, both of which come with your choice of potato or rice. You can go on indulging yourself all the way to the end of your meal with a piece of 1001 chocolate chip layer cake.
