THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Streetside Cafe Restaurant Review:

Streetside Café is just what this rather desolate stretch of downtown needs, a reasonably priced restaurant in a clean comfortable setting with a menu that runs from burgers, wraps and quesadillas to Blue Plate specials of meatloaf and roast beef. There's something for whatever mood you're in and, for the most part, they do it all well. Chicken fried steak is positively delicate, a tender bit of steak in a crisp crust smothered in white gravy, served with real mashed potatoes. But the leaden dinner rolls served with margarine were a skip. The meatloaf sandwich, a daily special, was a surprising hit, served on a fresh, light bun with blood red ripe tomatoes and green leaf lettuce it was a dream of a sandwich. Spinach quesadillas stuffed with Monterey Jack and a cilantro pesto were on the mark. But the house-made fire roasted salsa served with it was a strangely sweet, mild mix that made us glad the salsa was served on the side and not in the quesadilla.
