THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Stroud's Restaurant Review:
If you’re looking for Grandma’s Sunday dinners, Stroud’s is it. It’s a restaurant with uneven wooden floors and nondescript tables and chairs---clearly the food is the draw. Meals are served family-style, beginning with the homemade chicken noodle soup, with fat egg noodles, bits of chicken and velvety broth. The main attraction is the platters of pan-fried chicken, homemade mashed potatoes and gravy and bacon-seasoned green beans. Your meal also includes a heaping basket of hot cinnamon rolls, sticky-sweet and heavenly. There’s more than chicken on offer; try the ten-ounce pork chops, chicken-fried steak, catfish and halibut.
