Taste Restaurant Review

: To avoid being overshadowed by the bartenders and their specialty cocktails, the kitchen at Taste needs to make the most of its brief menu, and it does. The chefs match the daring and creativity of the mixologists with snacks and small plates such as bacon fat fried cornbread; cauliflower with pickled apples, harissa and pine nuts; and gnudi with mushrooms, pickled currants, brown butter and arugula. Those with larger appetites can opt for a pork burger with bacon or brick chicken with kale and spƤtzle. End the meal on a pleasantly simple note with desserts like churros with velvet almond panna cotta or a glass of aged port (yes, there is a very decent wine menu, too). Cocktails are arranged according to their flavor profiles. For example, the Tart, Bright, Citrus section may include She's Lost Control, made with lavender vodka, lime cordial, lime, Luxardo, black pepper, rose water and club soda. Brick walls and wood accents lend a rustic air to the space.
