Taste Restaurant Review: To avoid being overshadowed by the bartenders and their dozens of specialty cocktails, the kitchen at Taste needs to make the most of its brief menu, and it does. The chefs match the daring and creativity of the mixologists with dishes like whipped bone marrow and toast, pork scrapple with a fried egg, and octopus with potato risotto and chorizo. The less adventurous --- those sipping highballs or margaritas --- will be perfectly pleased with the spicy fried fingerling potatoes or flavored popcorn from the snack menu, or perhaps mushroom bruschetta or braised spare ribs from the small plates. End the meal on a pleasantly simple note with desserts like ice cream with hot fudge or a glass of aged port (yes, there is a very decent wine menu, too).
