It's easy to miss Thai Orchid, unless you've trained yourself to look for the glowing pink and purple neon that beckons to patrons of an otherwise unremarkable shopping strip. Inside, the space is decorated in subtle pinks and maroon with green accents and Thai art. The menu offers a surprisingly large number of very creative and well-prepared dishes; heat warnings abound for those who would rather steer clear of sweat-inducing spice. Of the nearly 60 entrées, some standouts include tamarind duck and boneless spareribs. Desserts include ginger ice cream and sweet sticky rice with coconut ice cream, fresh mango or Thai custard.
