Townhouse Kitchen & Bar inhabits an expansive dining space with an open kitchen in the Sherman Oaks Galleria. (The best seats in the house are at the leather booths along the walls, central bar or out on the patio for people-watching.) If spice is your vice, start with the sriracha-spiked deviled eggs or the "angry" shrimp sliders with habañero sauce, pepperjack cheese and jalapeño peppers. Flatbreads, "two-handed" sandwiches and globally influenced specialties like pork tacos and Szechwan lobster stir-fry round out the Cal-American menu. If you can't decide between the chocolate cake bites, blondie sundae or berries with crème anglaise, the "trio-tini" dessert offers a sample of all three options. Beverage-wise, there's a Pacific-focused wine list, a few dozen local beers on draft, and a slew of specialty cocktails such as the pear martini made with Grey Goose La Poire, St-Germain liqueur, pear juice and prosecco. Regular and reverse happy hours (Monday-Friday, 4 p.m.-7 p.m.; 11 p.m.-close nightly) make it a perfect stop for local office workers and ArcLight attendees.
