Make sure you’re looking good when you walk into The Trace, because the place is always full of beautiful young patrons and plenty of professional athletes, thanks to the NFL’s Titans and NHL’s Predators. The space is also long on looks with its matte black interior and glass walls that roll up in pleasant weather. The bistro-style list of simple eats starts with the appetizer of peppery, crisp calamari. It’s available till the wee hours, as are a couple other starters including the wok-charred green beans in ginger-soy glaze and garlicky bruschetta. Two entrées not to miss: the char-grilled pork medallions and grilled cumin-brown sugar-dusted salmon in a spicy tomato broth with asparagus. Filet mignon is the only serious entrée that appears on the late-night menu. Bartenders make a great martini; the wine list holds more than 500 options.
