: Seeking a taste of Napa Valley without the long commute? Visit Trellis, housed in The Heathman Hotel, just blocks from Lake Washington. Executive chef Brian Scheehser showcases organic, naturally-raised and handcrafted Northwest products --- many sourced from his own three-acre farm in nearby Woodinville. Although the menu changes seasonally, starters may include lavender-smoked duck breast with house-made pickles or stewed farm tomatoes and onions. Entrées range from a risotto made with long grain rice to gnocchi with fried sage, a flavorful seafood soup, and tender lamb chops with garden ratatouille. A carefully chosen wine list offers a range of prices and pairings. Complete your meal with one of several creative desserts, such as blackberry-apple cobbler or chocolate macadamia nut tart.
