Architecturally interesting North Italian bistro with so-so service but better food.
THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Trucchi Italian Bistro Restaurant Review:
Curving wood ceilings and earthy tones create an appealingly cavernous vibe at this west suburban Italian bistro, which is owned by the same folks as Mexican spot Comida Bebida next door. In fact, although you wouldn't know it, they share the same kitchen. There's nothing too shocking among appetizers, but the velvety beef carpaccio is made for romance. Try the spinach-stuffed gnocchi in hearty mushroom ragù or the chicken breast stuffed with pine nuts, prosciutto, sun-dried tomatoes and Fontina in herb-butter sauce.
