With humble Stephenville roots, Tumbleweed now has the juggernaut version of its barbecue shack in Cresson, offering the people of Fort Worth and surrounding counties some of the finest barbecue around. Big additions have been made such as the large bar, multiple dining rooms and private rooms, a sprawling patio, and menu items including mesquite-grilled steaks, double-cut pork chops and house-made appetizers and desserts. Tumbleweed creates many special touches for its guests like hand-cut steaks aged 28 days and house-ground brisket burgers, setting it apart from traditional barbecue fare. A custom back dock houses three giant smokers that start early in the morning---and don’t stop until the meat is falling off the bones. The barbecue sauce is made on site, as is the rich bourbon sauce that smothers the bread pudding with fresh strawberries and dark chocolate.
