THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Twist Restaurant Review: Satays and wraps shape Twist’s cross-cultural menu; daily specials warrant attention, too. Tapas-size portions, such as a tangle of crisp and fresh tasting calamari, are really too substantial for one person --- they’re more like small plates in size. Sandwiches, salads, and moderately priced mains can be appealing, and you can spend big bucks on a hefty steak with all the trimmings, thus making Twist versatile based on your dining needs of the moment. Fun desserts include the small offerings at $5 each --- just enough of a sweet ending to satisfy. The wine list is a puzzling disappointment, with very little that supports the food. Seating 300 in various segments of a cavernous space, Twist is marred by a noise level that makes table conversation difficult in the main dining area. If conversing is on the agenda, alternative seating in one of the private sections might be a better option. |
