THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Tyrynda Thai Restaurant Restaurant Review:
This Sleepy Hollow Thai eatery exudes an understated elegance with its cool lime-green walls, soft lighting and tastefully appointed dining room. The chef was trained in Thailand, and the kitchen demonstrates authenticity with the Thai spring roll combining glass noodles, carrots and cabbage fried in a crispy skin that comes with a plum sauce for dipping. A "combo house" offers a sampling of typical Thai flavors: crêpes, chicken and shrimp dumplings, fried shrimp, a mini crab cake and a small house salad. Spicy tom yum goong, a clear soup with shrimp, red peppers, mushrooms and lime juice, piques the appetite. We recommend the spicy beef, chicken and shrimp combination panang curry, a fiery and tart concoction of makrut lime leaves, bell peppers, string beans and coconut milk. On the lighter side choose a chicken pad si ew, stir-fried flat rice noodles, Chinese broccoli and egg in a sweet and savory sauce. Asian-inspired desserts include fried banana with honey and ice cream, and coffee and tea crème brûlée. A number of cocktails, beers, sakés and wines by the glass, half carafe and carafe complement the fare.
