V & T Restaurant & Pizzeria Restaurant Review:
You may have to fight some Columbia students for a spot at this pizzeria, but it’s worth it---and the fact that it’s been pleasing patrons for more than 50 years proves it. Students flock to this classic Italian joint for the extra-cheesy pies. The eggplant-garlic pizza is an especially big hit and there are other slightly unusual combinations too, like the salad pizza, with lettuce, tomato and olives tossed in house dressing; the turkey with lettuce and tomatoes; and any of the daily meat or vegetable special pies. If you’re in the mood for an appetizer, the eggplant rollatini is a good choice, and hot sandwiches like the meatball and peppers Parmigiana or veal and peppers are good alternatives to pizza.
