With Roberto Donna’s remake of this location of his Il Raddichio into Vivo! Trattoria, customers can expect more of the same but with slightly higher prices and more trattoria-styled dishes. Pizzas, too, still reign, but there is also grilled lamb steak, stuffed veal shoulder and a cotoletta of veal, Milanese style. Specials might include roasted half duckling or seared salmon. The hearty pasta dishes are good options, including fresh Napoli-style pappardelle with a ragù of pork rib and sweet onions. You’ll find the atmosphere much like before, with plenty of conviviality and crowds hunkered down for a full meal and plenty of conversation over wine.
