With views of the Keck astronomy headquarters and the rolling green pasture land of Parker Ranch beyond, this casual bar and grill fills up during lunch hours with Waimea's cowboy-booted, aloha-shirted business crowd. Choose to sit in the veranda sunroom or in the main dining area, where you can see the cooks at work. At night, the place remains as casual as during the day, serving standard island-seafood and steakhouse fare. The prime rib with garlic mashed potatoes is a favorite here, as are the barbecued ribs with french fries. The pasta and chicken dishes are generous and decent, and the fish is fresh. We go here with the kids for pizza and salads, or with business colleagues for a decent Philly steak sandwich. The wine list is nothing special, but the drinks from the adjacent bar are strong.
