Warren & Annabelle’s Magic Club
Fine food and drinks will get you in the mood for magic---literally.
Warren & Annabelle’s Magic Club Restaurant Review:
The experience---this is not just a show---begins when you and other attendees are shuttled into a locked room. With the help of ghostly Annabelle, who appears as a friendly voice giving clues on how to unlock your passageway, you will eventually make your way into the plush dining area. Reminiscent of an old-style, posh hotel lounge, with a crystal chandelier and seating ranging from high club chairs to couches to intimate tables, you’ll already know that you’re in for a treat. The menu offers a small selection of heavy appetizers. The best bargain is the combination platter, which offers a sampling of all the favorites---crispy, spicy crab cakes; tender coconut shrimp; chicken satay with Thai peanut sauce---served on a nice bed of greens. Also included is a kalua pork tostada, more like a mini burrito filled with pork and served with pineapple-mango salsa. For dessert, try the crème brûlée topped with fresh berries---it is large enough for sharing. Chocolate lovers will enjoy the rich pots de crème. During the meal, ghostly Annabelle will entertain the crowd with piano renditions of classic songs. After dinner, everyone will be sent to an intimate theater to watch the talented Warren Gibson put on a magic show, complete with card tricks, audience participation and comedy.
