Water Street Café takes locally sourced ingredients and treats them simply but creatively. Oysters from Prince Edwards Island, Nova Scotia and the Pacific Northwest and a host of other freshly caught seafood fare make this seafood spot a local favorite. Stonington or Ninigret Nectars from the raw bar, paired with a crisp Sauvignon Blanc, work well for starters. From the large plates, choose the flaky striped bass on a bed of mixed greens and steamed rice. There are non-seafood options as well; the lamb or hanger steak are tender and hearty and will satisfy the land-dwelling meat lover. Coconut wafer cake and house-made ice cream are standout desserts.
