Located in the Evergreen Conference Center, this is a first-class appendage to a popular resort, offering a magnificent view of the lush landscape inside Stone Mountain Park. While the dining room seems formal with its many private alcoves, patrons often are seen in golf outfits albeit expensive ones. The five buffet tables comprise one of the most lavish spreads in the metro area. Look at everything before you start because there’s too much to sample it all. Luscious prime rib, plank-baked salmon, grilled tuna steaks and crab legs disappear quickly. The menu changes daily, but you’ll find Manila clams in beer broth, barbecued pork loin, fried okra and corn on the cob. All breads are baked on the premises. The 30-square-foot salad bar is a meal by itself, and the dessert table is full of irresistible choices: hot cherry cobbler, chocolate extravaganza and miscellaneous pies and cakes. Park entrance costs $6 per vehicle, unless you have an annual pass.
