Westend Bistro Restaurant Review

: This casual American bistro in The Ritz-Carlton, Washington D.C. is located on the ground floor, and the interior affords several window seats so patrons can people-watch while they tackle luncheon fare from entrée salads to hefty sandwiches. Dinners are more formal, so look for a tuna carpaccio appetizer as a prelude to dishes such as braised short ribs, truffle whipped potatoes and Cognac pepper jus, and butter-poached turbot accented by honey-soy emulsion. Desserts include Westend bread pudding and a warm chocolate tart with caramel sauce. In addition to the wine selections, guests can sip cocktails like the Monumental Mule composed with Hendrick’s Gin, house-made ginger syrup and fresh lime.
