Several years old in the DC metro area, these little sandwich places exemplify how creative cooks can turn bread and filling into magic. Wraps, of course, have become something of a cliché, but not when you bite into something like Coat & Thai Chicken (spicy peanut chicken with fresh spinach plus extras) in a red chile tortilla or Kung Pao-Wow chicken in a sesame wheat tortilla. You can also create your own with a selection of ingredients. Another best bet: their silken, chilly, and wacky smoothies. Everyone is cool and casual and there’s never a need to dress up.
