THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Yatai Restaurant Review:
This Sunset Boulevard restaurant serves Asian “tapas” in an intimate, traditional setting seductively splashed with red paint and gently illuminated with candles. It is designed to imitate the look and feel of an open-air street vendor in Asia, called a yatai. The menu is extensive and includes salads, sashimi and sushi rolls as well as more than 40 plates categorized by price. It makes for a fun evening of composing one’s own simultaneous tasting menu, or just casual grazing among friends. Guests can choose from hot and cold plates, including a crab cake with curry sauce, tempura pumpkin, Thai-style beef satays and Japanese rice bowls topped with different seafood selections. We also enjoy the rolls wrapped in soy paper, and there are numerous vegetarian dishes, too. Wine, saké, beer and soju are served.
