THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Zen Asian Contemporary Restaurant Review:
The menu at Zen Asian Contemporary nods to an array of Asian cuisines, meaning you'll find everything from pho to tempura and pot stickers under one roof. That fact pleases ambivalent diners who can’t decide between Vietnamese or Thai. Is the effort successful? For the most part, yes. Rice and noodle dishes are consistently fresh and flavorful, bursting with crunchy vegetables. Tender cherry tomatoes add a delicate touch to the chicken in red curry, but while the overall effect is light and healthy, the dish lacks the spice necessary to be memorable. Still, with good lunch specials, addictive orange jasmine iced tea and a serene lavender dining room, this place stands out. More than anything it's the classics, like a fragrant pad thai and a shrimp tom yum soup (one of the city's best), that will wow you.
