Chef Richard Sandoval's Zengo at Santa Monica Place offers modern Latin American cuisine with Asian accents. The menu offers ceviches (shrimp ceviche with guajillo, kimchee sauce and cucumber), sushi rolls, dim sum and main dishes such as achiote salmon with Chinese broccoli, shiitake mushrooms and achiote ponzu. On weekends, there’s a $35 Bottomless Brunch that includes unlimited small plates along with brunch cocktails such as mango Mimosas and sake sangria. Happy Hour is available Sun.-Fri. from 3 p.m.-7 p.m (plus reverse happy hour 9 p.m.-10 p.m. Sun.-Fri.), featuring $4 cocktails and special prices on small plates. Sit out on the rooftop lounge to enjoy views of the Promenade.
