This vintage setting---a former grain mill that most recently served as the home of the Columbine Mill brewpub---has undergone a divine facelift. Instead of the oddball setup of the previous brewers the room has been realigned, with a sunny and bright dining room facing the street. No, it’s not exactly a roadhouse, but it’s a darn good place to grab a fresh pint and choice morsel. The beer list is a goodie featuring eight gems from brewmaster Chuck Roosevelt. The lighter brews are clean and laced with character, the heartier beers---the IPA, the stout and the brown ale, for example---are especially delicious. Pair them up with the way-above-average brewpub fare and the tweaked American cuisine, from choice cuts of beef and chicken to various yupscale fish and pasta plates.
