A major shift in culinary focus turned this restaurant-as-nightclub-as-restaurant into one of DC’s must-go fine dining destinations, as chic as a New York nightclub in Manhattan’s heyday of high society. Executive chef Adam Longworth has a keen eye for simple yet elegant American fare, and features on his dinner menu such dishes as an inventive rice-crusted striped bass and grilled branzino with potato confit spiked with garlic. The roasted pork chop, a man-size portion, comes with potato gnocchi and roasted vegetables. Lunchtime features lighter, more casual fare, and you can even opt for a crab burger or a marinated steak salad. If you want to hang out at Mo's Bar, there's a special menu for nibbling, including sweet Thai chili wings and a petite burger with cheddar and pancetta, and more than 200 wine selections from around the world. You can almost envision Grace Kelly and Cary Grant dining in the corner while listening to the live piano. Instead, chances are you’ll spot a power player down from the Hill for a splash of elegance.
