Agua Verde Cafe & Paddle Club Restaurant Review: Agua Verde Cafe & Paddle Club is solar powered. When the sun is out, open tables are hard to find, especially those on the outdoor deck that overlooks the water. While you wait, why not rent a kayak and work up an appetite for the traditional Mexican fare? The menu is packed with crowd pleasers such as tacos, massive burritos and tamales, made with mostly organic ingredients. House specialties take some interesting detours. On the side, try the chili mashed potatoes, a green rice that gets its vibrant color from Swiss chard, or the nicely dressed red cabbage slaw spiked with dried cranberries. No matter what the weather is doing, it seems everybody is sipping a margarita. Don't come here if you're in a hurry. Service can be sluggish.
