Agua Verde Cafe & Paddle Club Restaurant Review: Everything tastes better when eaten outdoors, something Agua Verde Cafe & Paddle Club never forgets. Whenever possible, the restaurant provides a sun-drenched deck over the ship canal for margarita-sipping. And if open tables are hard to find, why not rent a kayak and work up an appetite for traditional Mexican fare while you wait? The menu is packed with crowd-pleasers such as tacos, massive burritos and tamales, made with mostly organic ingredients. House specialties take some interesting detours. On the side, try the chili mashed potatoes, a green rice that earns vibrant color from Swiss chard, or the nicely dressed red cabbage slaw spiked with dried cranberries. Don't come here if you're in a hurry. Service can be sluggish.
