 'Ama 'Ama Restaurant Review: Thanks to renowned local chef Kevin Chong, 'Ama 'Ama’s modern as well as classic dishes are given a contemporary twist using all-local ingredients wherever possible. Start with the nori-wrapped ahi, firecracker chicken or Kahuku corn chowder to get a taste of Pacific Rim favorites. Goat cheese ravioli is good for light appetites, although the whole salt-crusted Island sustainable catch is filling yet not too heavy. Save room for the Hawaiian chocolate cake or the coconut panna cotta with chilled passion fruit broth. There is a full bar and a nice wine selection for discriminating palates. But since you are right on the beach, you may want to opt for one of the Island cocktails. |
