Amici's East Coast Pizzeria Restaurant Review: We all know the people, the ones with the East Coast accents, who complain endlessly that no one does pizza right in California. Those folks have probably never been to Amici's. The pizzeria bakes its pies in blazing-hot brick ovens, which translates to a crisper, much darker crust than what West Coasters are traditionally used to eating. The offerings run from the basic New Yorker (just mozzarella and tomato paste) to more exotic numbers like the tomato-paste-free Trentino with baby spinach, pancetta and crumbled feta. |
