| Family-owned and -operated, Amphora appeals to a family clientele, who love the casual atmosphere, super-friendly staff and substantial meals. The Vienna location looks like an old-fashioned country restaurant, but it's really a diner at heart, staying open 24 hours a day and serving everything from soup to nuts---spaghetti, broiled or fried seafood, gyro platters drizzled with yogurt and hamburgers. Given the diverse American, Greek and Italian menu, don't be surprised to find college students dropping by in the wee hours for a coffee break. Check out the nonstop breakfast menu, with everything from Belgian waffles to sugar-cured ham steaks. There's a small, but complete, affiliated bakery next door.
