Angelo's & Vinci's Restaurant Review: Angelo's & Vinci's continues to distinguish itself in downtown Fullerton with its eclectic and over-the-top décor as well as its full menu of home-style Italian dishes. Most area residents, however, come here for the pizza. The Chicago-style deep-dish pies tip the scales at almost six pounds and are heaped with melting cheese, good meats and fresh toppings. Try the signature lasagna pizza, the portobello pizza drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette, or the basil-and-tomato-topped Genoa pie. And don't overlook the more than 50 pastas on offer, which are handmade and accompanied by sauces crafted from classic Sicilian recipes. We particularly like the cannelloni and the hard-to-find mezzaluna. Spumoni ice cream makes a refreshing dessert. First-timers must take a trip to the subterranean toilets for a peek at plumbing history. |
