Aquariva Italian Kitchen + Wine Bar Restaurant Review: Housed next door to the Avalon Hotel & Spa, this sleek, multi-level Italian restaurant makes the most of its riverfront setting --- particularly the outdoor patio that offers views of meandering boats. Many dishes on the seasonally changing menu may be ordered in small or large sizes, which are designed for sharing. Vegetarians will find plenty of choices, such as gnocchi with morels and a cold pea soup, or crispy flatbread with shaved black truffle. Omnivores will enjoy the golden roast chicken with fennel and dried fig, or rib-eye and strip steaks. Desserts, such as a cookie plate, are also intended for two or more people.
