| This Penn Quarter sort-of-Asian/sort-of-Western restaurant proffers a vision of pan-Asian cooking that encompasses a little Thai, some Japanese sushi and noodle fare, a touch of Chinese, one Singaporean noodle dish and, of course, some Americanized salads. What would any restaurant be without a Caesar salad? This version puts a spin on the very overworked dish with a pear dressing and marinated grilled chicken. As you wade through the lengthy menu, you might get lost along the way, so the best tip is this: skip to the specials, and order either the gleaming duck breast or the meaty lamb chops perched on mashed potatoes. On the other hand, you could opt for the hoisin-glazed short ribs and call it a day. Desserts? Oh, yes. Try the green tea crème brûlée. |
