Located in a quaint village-replica, the eatery suggests an old-fashioned tavern in a thoroughly modern environment. Chef Rusty Hamlin, a Louisiana native, has put his own Creole touches on some of the dishes and created others that are signature to this location. So here you'll find a muffaletta, a po' boy, and a debris sandwich. Many of the same dishes remain, though, such as the house-made pretzels with mustard sauce, the cornmeal-crusted trout and the drunken pork. Desserts are made in-house, and have that same signature home-style character. The Louisiana-style biscuit bread pudding swims in a too-sweet and too-alcoholic pseudo-crème anglaise. You'll need the good, strong black coffee to cut through this one.
