The all-American menu of meatloaf, roast chicken, and mac 'n' cheese is inconsistent, and even at its best no better than standard hotel fare.

THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Atlantic Restaurant Review:
The muted, ocean-blue interior of the Bal Harbour Resort, designed by the Ralph Lauren-Polo team, suggests an oasis of peace. The same comforting ambience spills into the Nantucket-inspired restaurant, which has seen anything but calm waters. The restaurant set sail successfully under the helm of cookbook author Sheila Lukins, then rode a downward wave until chef Michael Schwartz, of Nemo fame, came on board and set the kitchen back on its course of comfortable, clean American cuisine. Schwartz jumped ship rather quickly, and Atlantic's crew has since taken over and instituted a less ambitious array of foods---as in bacon-wrapped meatloaf, spaghetti and meatballs, macaroni 'n' cheese, and balsamic-roasted chicken. Service is clumsy, the food inconsistent, and even at its best no better than standard hotel fare. Atlantic puts out a better breakfast, or maybe it just seems that way because the room is brightened with fulfilling ocean views.
