Jack Jones, the impresario behind this venture, is fussy about food and the way it looks on the plate. In fact, he has never let a dish out of the kitchen that was not primped or polished to the nth degree. The big blue marlin on the wall above the bar signals what this place is all about: seafood. Plus a token effort for landlubbers. Asian influences abound on the ever-changing menu, as do unusual pairings such as seared scallops with foie gras or veal sweetbreads with scallop-lobster ravioli. A few mainstays are the crab cake napoleon, a Caesar salad enhanced by white anchovies and grilled ahi tuna in a variety of guises. Excellent bouillabaisse. Try the cobbler à la mode of the day for a warming homemade finish. Interesting wines pepper the fish-friendly list. Pleasant atmosphere, excellent service.
